Are you an older mama?
Have teenagers or young adult children at home?
Single mom? Divorced? Separated?
Entrepreneur? (Or wannabe entrepreneur?)
Maybe trying to eat a little healthier?
So “Mama Loves Life” is for us. Finding something to smile about every day. Helping each other pick through the minefield that is raising and relating to older children. Supporting each other when being alone and making all the decisions gets difficult. Sharing ways to live our lives a little healthier, and figuring out ways to do it wealthier. And laughing or crying together at all the twists and turns in this adventure we call life!

I’m a 56-year-old mama of one 16-year-old boy. Separated two years after being married for 17. Self-employed since 1984 (nope, that’s NOT a typo—I’ve been doing my own thing for a LONG time!).
I make handcrafted wirewrapped jewelry. You can see some of it my Etsy shop. I also have a little retail store in historic downtown Cocoa Village, Florida, where I’ve been privileged to share my treasures directly with the public since 1992. My jewelry also lives in all 50 states and 40 other countries around the world (God bless the Internet!) I specialize in custom designs and setting loose stones for people—you want something gorgeous and one-of-a-kind? I’m your gal!
I started this blog for a couple of reasons. I think I have something to say about the topics I’ve chosen to feature, particularly about being self-employed. I’ve got more than 30 years’ experience, which I believe makes me uniquely qualified to help you get started or grow your own business!
I enjoy writing. I’ve always had an affinity for language and grammar and punctuation, for putting words together in an interesting way. Making my point clear. Good stuff!
And finally, I need to supplement my income. Unfortunately, you make long-term decisions while you’re married, that kind of go away once you’re not married any more. My soon-to-be-ex is generous with child support, but that, too, is going to go away before too long. I need to be able to take care of Mama!
You can expect a post about once a week, plus the relatively regular series “Fun Fact Friday”. Comments are always welcome and appreciated (and shares or pins will put me over the moon!)
Because my intent is to earn income from this blog, you will come across a number of affiliate links and sponsored reviews. These will be clearly marked. If you click on an affiliate link and end up purchasing the product, it will cost you nothing extra, but I will receive a small amount of money as compensation for recommending it. This will make me very happy!
The opinions I express are solely my own. I can’t imagine promoting items that I don’t like, so you can be assured that if I’m recommending something it’s because I honestly like it and think it would be a worthwhile investment of time or money on your part. If I DON’T like something, I’m either going to say so in no uncertain terms, or I’m not going to mention it at all. That may seem like two opposite reactions, but what I’m getting at is that I won’t write a fake review. I’m not going to pretend to like something when I actually think it’s awful or worthless! Your trust is important to me!
